Old Series That Are Worth Mentioning...

One of my favorite things to do when I need to relax is get some DVDs from Netflix. We don't have cable or satellite for many reasons, but the main one is that there is just too much junk out there for my kids to come across. However, I do miss a lot of series when they originally come out. The plus side is that when I Netflix them, I don't have to wait a week between each episode. Two of my favorite episodes are from across the ocean... Ballykissangel and Monarch of the Glen. I have seen Ballykissangel (all shows) more than once and never get tired of them. I'm on Season 6 of Monarch of the Glen and have loved every minute of it. If you haven't seen these and are in the mood for good quality TV, this is where to look! I wish the TV people here in the US would make series like these instead of some of the ones they are doing. It's nice to take a break from the sensationalisim found everywhere on my current TV and enjoy some relaxing charm.

I loved Ballykissangel! We always watched it on our PBS station. And we still talk about it and wish they would come out with more episodes!

I have not seen the other, but will keep an eye out for it.

We loved monarch of the glen - the young male leads were so dishy too!

Both of the series look interesting, especially Monarch of the Glen. Thanks for writing about them.
