Sassy Sixteen Opportunity to Help

Look at this Christmas Sassy Sixteen made by my dear friend, Marge! Thank you, Marge, for letting me post it, it is wonderful!

I have an opportunity to help for anyone who is interested. As some of you might know, we had quite a bit of damaging weather here last week. One of the places hit by a tornado was a local college dorm. Lots of students lost everything. My guild is determined to make a dozen quilts, minimum, for them. Any of you who have my pattern, if you would like to help, it would be great if you could make a Sassy Sixteen block from eight different jewel tones fabrics and send eight 3 1/2" squares, one from each of the same fabrics used in the block, we'd be happy to piece the top and finish the quilt. Just let me know (so I can send you my address) and have them in the mail by next Tuesday. I'm swamped in my day to day life and I know that many of you are too, but I thought maybe if some of us could make just a block or two, that it might not be too bad. Thanks so much!!!

Kimberly, I would be delighted to send you a block and squares for your project. Just send me an email with your address and I will drop it in the mail right away. Will be anxious to see your finished project! Marge did a wonderful job with your Sassy Sixteen. I keep clicking on it to enlarge the picture and admire the quilt.

As mother of a Union University student I am touched by your making quilts for the students who lost so much. My daughter was one of the very few who lost nothing, but your quilts will warm hearts beyond those fortunate enough to receive one of your quilts. Thank you!
